Research Assistance:
The library staff and resources are ready to assist students with finding the information they need, whether it is for a class assignment or just to satisfy a curiosity.
Computers:
The library offers students eight computers to use. Students may use these computers to access online research materials, to access the computerized card catalog, or to use a word processing or related program. Students will not be permitted, however, to use the computers to play games, check their email, or access social networking sites. WCSB has a computer use policy available on their web site, and all library computers use an internet filtering program.
Checkout of Materials:
Students are permitted to check out two books at a time. The checkout period is two weeks, after which students may return or renew the book. Students are also allowed to check out one magazine or reference item. Both magazines and reference materials are due the following school day before homeroom begins.
Teachers:
Teachers may check out books and magazines from the main collection as well as books and other media from the professional collection, and media equipment. In addition, library staff offer assistance with lesson planning and gathering materials, and will even teach classes related to media and a specific unit of study.
