Sunshine State Readers:
Each year the library purchases several copies of the Sunshine State Readers, a selection of outstanding books chosen by students. The library encourages students to check out and read these books. Students who read five or more books before April are eligible to vote on the books to be included in the next year’s list.
Book Fair:
Twice a year, the library offers Scholastic books through our book fair. Students may come during regular hours to purchase books.
Science Fair:
The library is home to the RMS Science Fair, held each December. Student projects are displayed and judged in the library.
Morning News:
The daily announcements are delivered each morning through the student-run RMS News Crew. Any student interested in being a part of the News Crew should see Ms. Lewis for an application.
Scheduled Classes:
Most reading classes visit the library on a weekly basis. This allows students the opportunity to return and checkout books, as well as to use the library resources. In addition, many classes working on specific research projects will schedule time in the library.
